Welcome to my website.

I've taken photographs using various cameras over the years, from compact film cameras in the 1980s, then to a film SLR camera in the 1990s. In the early 2000s I "upgraded" to a digital compact camera but found it a step down from my film camera. I've now been using digital SLRs since the early 2010s and currently use a Canon 5D mkIV. I joined my local camera club, the Oxford Photographic Society, back in 2009 and have learnt a great deal since then.

I appreciate all forms of photography but now specialize in wildlife (with a large interest in African wildlife) and the wider natural world. I also enjoy taking images with the intention of converting to black and white and I sometimes experiment by taking wildlife images from a more artistic perspective, such as using slow shutter speeds to capture movement or using the high-key effect!. In addition to my main photographic interests, I also dip in and out of street photography.

I hope you enjoy my images!
